The holidays are supposed to be joyful, time spent with family and friends, those who mean the most to us. For some, like me, it’s one of the few times everyone is all together, with children and grandchildren living far from their place of birth. It’s a more mobile world, these days.
So much to do, so little time to do it all. It’s easy to become stressed out and anxious, searching for those elusive, perfect, meaningful gifts. Instead of battling crowds of crazed shoppers, consider giving the gift of your time–the most personal, valuable commodity of all. Cook a meal. Make cookie baking a family affair. Watch the little ones so their parents can have an evening out. The memories you make will last long after the decorations have been packed away, the wrapping paper and ribbons have been disposed of, and the family cat has taken over the empty boxes.
This holiday season, I wish you joy, love, peace….and abundant blessings. ❤ xo
