Glory Among The Flowers….

The blooming season of the peony is finished and while I’ll miss the large, fragrant, top-heavy blooms, I can revisit them in my photos. Their delicate scent, however, is something only memory can evoke. This is the way of the garden–one species has its moment of glory and then gives way to the next.

  1. Hello Celia,
What a lovely blog you have here! I just discovered it when I was writing my own post featuring photographs of peonies–it came up as a suggestion for a related article, so I linked to it in my “Related Articles” section at the bottom of my post today. (It’s here, in case you want to take a peek: http://www.joyfullygreen.com/2014/06/my-week-in-5-photos-blooming-and-growing-and-not-just-the-flowers.html). I love the top-heavy peonies as well–what a strange and gorgeous flower…
    Happy to “meet” you!

    Best,

    • Happy to “meet” you, too! I’m pleased that you liked my peony shots; the flowers have finished blooming but I did my best to document their season this year, trying some different angles and points of emphasis. They’re one of my favorite flowers. I appreciate the kind words, and the link; I’ll definitely check out your blog page. Enjoy your day! 🙂 Hugs, Celia
